High above the battle, Jupiter tells Juno it is time to stop. She gives way, on one condition: the Latins must keep their name, their language and their dress, and the Trojans must lose theirs. Let Latium be, let there be Alban kings, let the Roman race be strong with Italian courage. Jupiter smiles and agrees.
Below, Aeneas hurls his spear like a thunderbolt and Turnus falls, struck through the thigh. He holds out his hand and asks Aeneas to spare him for his old father's sake. Aeneas hesitates — until he sees on Turnus' shoulder the sword belt of young Pallas. Solve seven puzzles from Book 12, and the last word is the name Aeneas cries as he strikes.
Crossword — the gods' bargain and the last duel.
Anagrams — unscramble seven words from the death of Turnus.
Cipher — decode a message in Latin, then answer the riddle it asks.
Matching — the present subjunctive in wishes and commands, from Juno's terms (sit Latium…).
Picture Count — reassemble the duel, then count what you see.
Odd One Out — find the word that doesn't belong in each row to build the story, then answer questions about it.
Final Rebus — one clue from every lock. Their first letters spell the final word.
Every answer box checks itself. Spelling and capitals are forgiving, and macrons are never needed.
Seventeen words from the gods' bargain and the duel. Every clue gives the English meaning; you supply the Latin. Fill the grid — every crossing letter must agree both ways. Six cells are marked in red: once the grid is solved, their letters unscramble into one more word.
The grid is correct. Unscramble the six red letters:
Seven words from the death of Turnus. Unscramble each one.

Pallās tē hōc vulnere, Pallās immolat: Pallas, Pallas sacrifices you with this wound. Aeneas buries his sword in Turnus' chest, and the poem ends as Turnus' life flees, groaning, down to the shades.
