Juno's Anger

Saevae Iūnōnis Īra

Arms and the man: Aeneas, exiled by fate, driven over land and sea by the unforgetting anger of savage Juno. The proem asks the Muse why the queen of the gods hates him, and finds the answer in Carthage, the city she loves.

An AP® Latin escape room on Vergil's Aeneid, the proem and Juno's anger, 1.1–33, using the passage's own vocabulary: a crossword, anagrams, a Latin cipher, the irregular verb ferō, a picture count, an odd-one-out story and a final rebus.
