The Emperor's Favour

Beneficium Prīncipis

After a dangerous illness, Pliny asks the new emperor Trajan to make his Egyptian therapist, Harpocras, a Roman citizen. Then he finds out that an Egyptian must first be a citizen of Alexandria, and has to ask again.

An AP® Latin escape room on Pliny's letters 10.5, 10.6 and 10.7, using the letters' own vocabulary: a crossword, anagrams, a Latin cipher, verb tenses, a picture count, an odd-one-out story and a final rebus.
