The Last Duel
Certāmen Extrēmum
Juno gives up her anger, on condition that the Latins keep their name and language. Below, Aeneas brings Turnus down with his spear. Turnus begs for his life, and Aeneas hesitates, until he sees the sword belt of Pallas.
An AP® Latin escape room on Vergil's Aeneid, Juno's reconciliation and the death of Turnus, 12.791–828 and 12.919–952, using the passage's own vocabulary: a crossword, anagrams, a Latin cipher, the present subjunctive in wishes and commands, a picture count, an odd-one-out story and a final rebus.
