The Ploughman's Day
ἡ τοῦ αὐτουργοῦ ἡμέρα
Dicaeopolis has a whole field to plough. The sun is hot, the ox will not move, the plough has hit a great stone, and Xanthias the slave is fast asleep under a tree. Up at the spring, his wife and daughter are filling the water jars, and his son Philip is racing across the field with news.
A first escape room in Classical (Attic) Greek for beginners, using only the vocabulary and grammar of the opening chapters of a first-year course: a crossword in Greek letters, anagrams, a Greek-alphabet cipher, verb endings, a picture count, an odd-one-out story and a final rebus.
